Places are limited in order to facilitate the organisation. If a lot of people want to participate, we will organise another day at a later date for those who are unable to attend on this occasion.
Date: 20 July 2019
Time: 11:00 h.
Meeting point: recreational area of A Retorta (Ribeira de Piquín, Lugo) see map
Activity: Removal of invasive herbaceous plants from the banks of the river Eo.
Members of the LIFE Fluvial team will provide a brief training for the identification of the invasive plant to be removed and the most appropriate technique.
After the activity we will have a small picnic in the recreational area to close the activity and we will distribute merchandising of the project.
Gloves and small hoes will be provided for plant removal, but if you have any of these types of tools you can bring them with you, as they are sure to be useful. It is recommended to wear suitable clothing and footwear, as well as waterproof clothing depending on the weather.
