The Mariñas Coruñesas e Terras do Mandeo Biosphere Reserve, within the aid to Management Bodies, charged to the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (European Union-NextGenerationEU), held, on Saturday, April 29, 2023, a conference environmental volunteering at O Pedrido Beach (within the ZEC Betanzos-Mandeo of the Natura 2000 Network).

The work, in which 20 volunteers participated, focused on the removal of the invasive plant Arctotheta calendula, as well as the collection of garbage and microplastics from the sandbank.
