2nd volunteering day in the Eo river corridor

Participate with us in an action of invasive plant removal in a stretch of the river Eo, downstream of the recreational area of Chao de Pousadoiro (Ribeira de Piquín, Lugo), in the framework of the European project LIFE Fluvial for the restoration of river banks.

Sign up for the volunteering day in which together we will participate in the actions of recovery of the river corridor of the river Eo carried out by the LIFE Fluvial project.

If you do not provide us with these details we will not be able to take out insurance to cover possible incidents and you will have to take responsibility for them during the activity.

Places are limited in order to facilitate the organisation. If a lot of people want to participate, we will organise another day at a later date for those who are unable to attend on this occasion.

Activity: Removal of invasive herbaceous plants from the river bank of the river Eo.

Members of the LIFE Fluvial team will provide a brief training for the identification of the invasive plant to be removed and the most appropriate technique.
After the activity we will have a small picnic in the recreational area to close the activity and we will distribute merchandising of the project.

Gloves and small hoes will be provided for plant removal, but if you have any of these types of tools you can bring them with you, as they are sure to be useful. It is recommended to wear suitable clothing and footwear, as well as waterproof clothes depending on the weather.
